Pharmacokinetics Module

The Pharmacokinetics Module is an unprecedented source of pharmacokinetics exposure data. Access to this database can help those working in pharmacokinetics make:

  • Faster and more accurate assessments of any drug project;
  • Better decisions and prioritizations of drug projects;

...which result in more successful outcomes.

The PharmaPendium Pharmacokinetics Module provides you with unparalleled access to incredibly detailed preclinical and clinical exposure data, such as Tmax, Cmax, T1/2, AUC, Vss, etc, from FDA Packages (basic PharmaPendium content and FDA Classic Collection; 1938 to present) and EMEA EPAR documents.

What is the Pharmacokinetics Module?

The Pharmacokinetics Module provides unprecedented and detailed access to multiple exposure parameter measurements under various experimental conditions for up to 2,000 drugs, both preclinical and clinical.

With more than 800,000 lines of extracted pharmacokinetics observations included at the time of product launch, you will be able to search on filterable fields and special designations, such as drug name, chemistry, species, study group, dose, route, parameter, food effects, concomitant drug effects and more.

What are the benefits for me?

If you work in discovery, preclinical or clinical assessment involving pharmacokinetics and drug delivery the Pharmacokinetics Module will help you perform the following tasks:

  1. Modeling therapeutic windows:
    This can be done earlier and more accurately than ever before, when crucial assessments and decisions are being made on your candidate, given the denseness of the PK data contained with the module.  This, along with associated drug targets and structural chemistry, will help you model therapeutic windows faster and more accurately.

  2. Project risk assessments:
    Access to this wealth of comparative data will help you answer questions like: 'Can my drug be properly delivered in a safe and effective dose?' This data can also be used to aid decision-making and prioritizations of project pipelines. This includes, for example, questions like: 'Which animal models translate on drugs with a similarity to our candidate, which do not, and why?'

  3. Competitive opportunity:
    Find out how you can deliver your existing products better. Learn where your competitors have set the bar in any drug class and whether you can compete there. Identify opportunities in a particular drug class using your proprietary delivery technologies.

Typical search examples

The Pharmacokinetics Module will support you in answering such queries as:

  1. Show me all the drugs in my drug class that have a half life of >5 hours. How do food effects impact these parameters?  What are the comorbidities related to this drug class?
  2. Show me all the comparative therapeutic window information on drugs that have a certain adverse effect so that I can model our risk within a therapeutic context.
  3. Show me the preclinical and clinical bioavailability data on drugs that target a particular receptor.
